Whiteboard videos for psychology

Inner states are hard to film. Drawings can show them: the anxious loop, the habit cue, the two sides of a choice.

We write the script, then draw it.

Who this is for

Psychology and self-improvement channels, coaches, counsellors explaining a concept to clients, and psychology students. Common topics on StrokeVideo include attachment styles, relationships, overthinking, habits, motivation and emotions.

Why drawings work here

There is nothing to film when the subject is a thought. A drawing can show it: a figure carrying a heavy backpack labelled 'old beliefs', a loop of arrows for rumination, a fork in the road for a decision. Simple figures with thought bubbles keep attention on the idea instead of on a face.

Four steps

1. Paste your script into I have a script, or choose Write it for me and type the topic, for example: why we overthink at night. 2. Pick a style; Creative and Marker are the most used, and the Stick figures only preset in the director notes gives a clean, minimal look. 3. Pick a narration voice, or upload your own recording. 4. Choose 16:9 for YouTube or 9:16 for Shorts, generate and download.

Your own voice

Many psychology channels are built on the creator's voice. Choose I have a recording and upload an MP3, M4A or WAV; the drawings follow it word by word. On the free plan, recordings can be up to 30 seconds.

Be careful with research and sensitive topics

The built-in writer does not browse the internet or read papers, so a line such as 'studies show' may not be backed by a study. Name a study only if you put it in your script, or give it the article as a source under From a web page, PDF or Word file. For videos about anxiety, trauma or self-harm, add a disclaimer card, and for crisis topics a line pointing viewers to local help. These videos explain ideas; they are not therapy.

A long video and a Short

Make the main video in 16:9, then a 30 to 60 second version of its key idea in 9:16 that sends viewers to it. Free: 1 video a day, up to 2 minutes each. With a plan, one video can run up to 15 minutes.

Frequently asked questions

Can I make psychology videos without showing my face?

Yes. Every picture is drawn for your script, and the narration is a built-in voice or your own recording.

Can I make videos about anxiety or trauma?

Yes, as educational explainers. Add a disclaimer card, and for crisis topics point viewers to local help. The videos are not a substitute for therapy.

Can I use stick figures?

Yes. The Stick figures only preset in the director notes draws every person as a simple stick figure.

Can I use my own voice?

Yes. Upload an MP3, M4A or WAV under I have a recording and the drawings are timed to your voice.

Does it cite research?

Not by itself. The script writer does not look up studies. Put the study in your script, or give it the article as a source, and the AI explains only what is in it.

How long can a psychology video be?

Up to 2 minutes on the free plan and up to 15 minutes per video with a plan.
